Snowy Mountains, Beach Front Property & Stamparatus Reservation Ends Today!

I am having a blast with the new Waterfront stamp set available in the new 2018 Occasions catalog that will go live on January 3rd. I am definitely planning a technique video using this set. Simply stamped cards are a snap and artistic cards take very few extra steps. These are the latest cards I've made using this set:

When I was making the card above, I kept thinking of Bob Ross! I can't wait to show you how to create snowy mountains.

The scene above reminds me of a trip we took to Maui in 2014. The hotel we stayed at over-booked, so we ended up with an upgrade. Instead of the regular room in the hotel, we were given a beach front bungalow for our stay!

Both of the cards above were created with stamped images that were then softened a bit with an Aqua Painter. For the snowy mountain scene, I stamped and over-stamped the mountain using markers to highlight the image, then softened with the Aqua Painter. Very easy to do.

Trust me...you NEED this stamp set. Get yours January 3rd!

Retail Price: $49.00 (plus shipping and handling)

Landscape "Painting" with the New Waterfront Stamp Set

This new stamp set will be available in the 2018 Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog. (You can order this stamp set starting January 3rd) I think it is a "must" if you want quick, beautiful cards that would be perfect for so many different occasions. If I have enough interest, I may do a quick video tutorial for this card & envelope set.

I will be posting more samples soon using this set. I used an Aqua Painter to soften the stamped images, but that isn't a must. The images look amazing just stamped.

I love it when the inside the card and the envelope match!

The trick is to put a piece of paper inside the envelope when you are going over the stamped images with your Aqua Painter to keep the back layer of the envelope dry. Don't use very much water for this step on the envelope, you just want to soften the images. Spray with Krylon matte sealer if you want to mail it or protect the envelope.

I used Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, Marina Mist, Garden Green, Early Espresso & Dapper Denim for the stamped images.

Don't forget that this is your last chance to purchase many products that are discounted and retiring. You have until January 2nd. Click here for discounted products and here for retiring products.

If you do not already have a demonstrator, once you place an order with me, I will send you the new Occasions catalog, along with the Sale-A-Bration catalog.

Pals December 2017 Blog Hop: All That Sparkles and Shines

Welcome to the Pals December 2017 Blog Hop featuring “All that Sparkles and Shines”. Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous Pal’s blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.

For this card, I chose to use a technique I used this past October for my Splitcoaststamper's Falliday Fest Challenge Tutorial. Unless specified, all products are Stampin' Up!

I used a stamp from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set for the speckles and splatters. The die cut and the stamped sentiment are from the Santa's Sleigh stamp set and coordinating thinlits. The video below explains the process, which is a simpler, more controlled version of the old shaving cream technique that has been around for years. I was very excited when I came up with it last summer. I call it "Not Your Mother's Shaving Cream Technique".

I really love the Night of Navy color mixed with the gold embossing and glittery deer! Full supply list will be below the blog hop information.

Thank you so much for hopping with the Stampin’ Pretty Pals today. Please take a minute to mark your calendar for our next hop on January 10, 2018. Now hop along using the Blog Hop Line-up below. Don’t forget to leave us a comment. We really like that.

Contemporary Christmas Card and Free Shipping Today Only!

This card started out as just an experiment with the new Brusho Crystals that will be available in the 2018 Occasions Catalog in January. These are dry paint crystals that activate with water. They have a ton of possibilities! Unless noted, all products Stampin' Up!

The first thing I did was put the tree from the Santa's Sleigh stamp set on the acrylic block upside down. In other words, I would be using it like a shadow stamp. I stamped it with Lemon Lime Twist on to a watercolor panel. Then I sprinkled some of the Brusho on the paper and gave it a little spritz with water. After it dried, I stamped the actual tree image on top of the shadow image with Emerald Envy ink. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of watercolor paper and popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

If you notice that the ribbon doesn't exactly match the DSP I used on the bottom of the card, you are correct! I knew it didn't match perfectly (the darker color in the paper is Tranquil Tide), but I didn't really care. I love that Stampin' Up! has SO many things that coordinate color-wise, but sometimes you need to go outside the box and see that other pairings will work also.

Reserve The New Stamparatus Today!

First things first, then I will get to the details: No payment is required to reserve your Stamparatus today!  Payment is not required until it is ready to ship beginning March 19, in the order they were reserved. I thought with everyone in the middle of their holiday shopping for others that little detail might be very important to you.

The second thing I want to let you in on is this: once your Stamparatus has shipped and I can confirm who ordered theirs from me, I will send you some bling through the mail. (Jewels, Gems or Pearls) along with a thank you from me! Please send me an email after you reserve yours, so I can add your name to my bling list!

The first Stamparatus reservation window reached its maximum number of reservations in just 15 minutes – world wide. Which provided Stampin’ Up! with some very important information: People LOVE this new stamping tool!

This time around, Stampin' Up! has a "reservation window" from Dec. 5th - Dec. 30. Starting today at 2 pm MT (3 pm CST), whether there are 100 or 100,000 reserved, the window will stay open until Dec. 30. This will be the last and only reservation window.

Beginning March 19, Stampin’ Up! will ship the Stamparatus in the order the reservations were received (first in, first out) and continue through the next few months and beyond as product arrives in the warehouse. Because shipment dates are based on manufacturing lead times, not all of the reservations made during the December 5–30 window will ship on March 19 (as was previously announced).
