Pals December 2017 Blog Hop: All That Sparkles and Shines

Welcome to the Pals December 2017 Blog Hop featuring “All that Sparkles and Shines”. Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous Pal’s blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.

For this card, I chose to use a technique I used this past October for my Splitcoaststamper's Falliday Fest Challenge Tutorial. Unless specified, all products are Stampin' Up!

I used a stamp from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set for the speckles and splatters. The die cut and the stamped sentiment are from the Santa's Sleigh stamp set and coordinating thinlits. The video below explains the process, which is a simpler, more controlled version of the old shaving cream technique that has been around for years. I was very excited when I came up with it last summer. I call it "Not Your Mother's Shaving Cream Technique".

I really love the Night of Navy color mixed with the gold embossing and glittery deer! Full supply list will be below the blog hop information.

Thank you so much for hopping with the Stampin’ Pretty Pals today. Please take a minute to mark your calendar for our next hop on January 10, 2018. Now hop along using the Blog Hop Line-up below. Don’t forget to leave us a comment. We really like that.

Pals December Blog Hop: All That Sparkle and Shine

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for December 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month our projects showcase products that can add sparkle and/or shine for a finishing touch. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

Seriously...I'm in love with the deer die cut from the Santa's Sleigh Dies Thinlits. Using the deer as a focal point makes this somewhat glitzy, but elegant card quick to make.

I used my #foolproofwatercolor technique for the background, before stamping the pine image from the Christmas Pines stamp set with Bermuda Bay ink. If you missed the post regarding this technique using baby wipes to create a background, click here. I used my most loved splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge and Gold Stampin' Emboss powder to add some interest behind the deer. I finished the card off with some gold metallic thread, gold sequins and a word cut from Bermuda Bay cardstock using one of the dies from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits.

Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

Pals February Blog Hop: CASE the Catty

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for February 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are CASE-ing a project shown in a current Stampin’ Up! catalog. After all, with the Annual, Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs available right now, there is much inspiration to choose from. We hope you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

My project is a CASE of this project on page 19 of the 2016 Occasions Catalog:

I loved the Rose Wonder stamps/Rose Garden thinlits bundle the minute I saw it in the catalog. So many ways to use the stamps and die cuts!

I embossed the die cut leaves with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing folder. I used the Gold Wink of Stella to add the gold sparkle on the raised areas of the leaves and painted the edge of the sentiment die with it also.

Wish you could see this card in person. The photos don't do it justice. I simply love Basic Gray with touches of gold for accent. The card sparkles all over, after "flicking" the Gold Wink of Stella on the background.

Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!
