Global Design Project #GDP012 and Online Extravaganza Starts Today!

I am honored to be the Guest Design Team Member for the Global Design Project Challenge this week. Global Design Project is a team of demonstrators from around the globe who offer weekly challenges based on different themes. This week, Brian King from the United States is hosting the challenge and the theme is "CASE the Designer". I was instructed to be inspired by either the theme, layout, the colors or particular stamp sets. Here is his card:

I ended up being inspired by the layout. All products are Stampin' Up!

Are you wondering how I adhered the vellum without adhesive showing? I adhered the bottom of the vellum under the Whisper White cardstock layer. On the top portion of the vellum, using a toothpick, I simply put a teeny tiny bit of Tombo Multipurpose liquid glue under a few of the gold splatters. Worked like a charm.

At that point, you become your own hostess and get all the rewards! Please keep in mind if you choose "no contact" from the demonstrator, I'm unable to even send you a thank you note for your order...That's right, I'm not even able to see your name.

As always, let me know if you have any questions about the project or the products used. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Artfully Yours,

Kim

  1. Kim - Your project is breathtakingly beautiful. So soft and yet so bold. I love the gold, layered snowflakes with this soft Pool Party backdrop. I'm so happy you were able to be a guest on our challenge this week and so honored that you were able to create something so beautiful based on my silly penguins. Thank you for playing along!

  2. What a great tip about using a toothpick for spot application of Tombow under vellum, Kim! While you have used the same layout as Brian's card, your card has a completely different feel to it. I love the soft colours in the blue, gold and white, which gives the card an almost regal look about it. It's wonderful to have you join us at Global Design Project this week as guest designer Kim!
