Rooted In Nature Bundle: Bold & Beautiful Samples

The Rooted In Nature Bundle just about knocked my socks off when I first saw it. There are so many ways you can go with this bundle. Vintage, traditional nature inspired, bold & contemporary (like the samples below), etc. Prepare to see many samples from me using this particular bundle, as I already have quite a few that I haven't posted yet. The trees & leaves all have their own dies!!

For the card below, I simply stamped the bold wood cut image, then stamped the tree on top of it, slightly off setting it. I stamped the sentiment and trimmed it out, layering it on top of a piece of bakers twine I had tied around the card. A simple, quick card with an awesome look. This could be done in many different colors.

I am IN LOVE with the card below. It looks hard, but is SO easy. Just cut a piece of black cardstock and a piece of white card stock the same size. Lay them next to each other and secure to your work surface with a bit of washi tape so they don't move when you stamp the image. Stamp the image with Versamark ink. Emboss the black cardstock with white embossing powder and the white cardstock with black embossing powder. Layer all up on your card base and layering pieces. Many sentiments would work for this card, but I used the word "thank you" trimmed from a longer sentiment from this set. I think this card really has a ton of wow factor!

  2. Wow, these are two great cards made with this set. I thought this set was intriguing but wasn't sure I wanted it. Now I think I do. Hope to see more made with it and all the possibilities.

  3. Kim, I love both cards, but the 2nd one really catches my eye! How did you keep the black & white embossing powders from mixing up?

    1. I embossed each side individually. I used my Stamparatus for perfect placement.
