There are two things that give me a huge creative block. One is if someone asks me to make a "cute" card. I don't always do well with that. The other is being given specific colors that I have to use. However, I force myself to think outside the box when asked or if I see a challenge online that I think might be a good creative exercise for me. The GDP Challenge this week is to use specific colors: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry.
I still had the Rooted In Nature Bundle on my craft desk, so decided to use it again. This card was pretty simple to create. I white embossed the leaves on watercolor paper, then just spot painted the leaves the three different colors before using the matching die to cut them out. (used a bit of ink in the lid with my Aquapainter) I think it turned out pretty well and it was quick. With summer being here and me working lots of hours in a busy tourist town, I need quick.
