November Stampin' Friends Blog Hop: Happy Holidays

We are hopping with holiday projects this month. I chose to go with serene neutrals instead of traditional colors.

The first part of this project was something I made for my customers at our Christmas Party/Stamp Workshop this past month. The freestanding tea bag pouch was a project I saw on Pootles Youtube channel. It was exactly what I was looking for. I adore hot tea and had been picking up interesting holiday inspired flavors. Click HERE for Pootles video of this amazing, no glue, no tape project.

Opened up...I didn't use adhesive to secure the tea bags, but you could if you chose to.

Doesn't this make a great duo?? By the way, Bigelow Toasted Coconut and Almond Bark tea is heavenly. I use a bit of creamer and sweetner with it.

The card turned out exactly like I envisioned it. To add the soft white highlights on the Gray Granite cardstock for both projects, I just swiped the Whisper White Craft Stampin' Pad directly on the paper. The trees and the sentiment were stamped with the matching Gray Granite Classic Stampin' Pad. The little snowflakes are from the Colorful Seasons Bundle. I used Wink of Stella on the snowflakes and on the edge of the card base to add sparkle. If you are wondering how this will fit in an envelope with the vellum and the cardstock hanging off the edge, the card base is narrower than normal. I just made sure when I adhered the layers that the finished size would be approximately 4.25 x 5.5.

The little wispy threads are one of my favorite things to add to my projects: ordinary cheesecloth purchased at the grocery store. Besides the tea bags, the cheesecloth is the only non-Stampin' Up! products used for these projects.

You can make this too!

  1. Thanks so much for sharing Sam's video, Kim. I've been looking for an idea for holiday treats that, for once, doesn't involve candy!
