Before I get in to the details of the card below, this is a reminder that this is the last day to save up to 25% off on select items in celebration of World Card Making Day. More info below.
I have to admit that at times I buy pretty paper, then don't use it because I hate to cut it up. Silly, right? I am going to make an extra effort to use up all the pretty paper I have purchased so far this year. It certainly helps out when you need cards in a flash. All products Stampin' Up!
When I saw the Moroccan Designer Series Paper in the 2016-2017 annual catalog, it made me swoon. So many of the colors the paper coordinates with are colors I use regularly, so I had to have it! I think the piece I used on this card is quite striking with Real Red accompanying it. It is included in the buy 3, get 1 free DSP sale this month.
I cut one tree from the Santa's Sleigh dies out of Emerald Envy cardstock, then another tree from Very Vanilla cardstock. I layered the 2 pieces so it almost looks like snow on the branches of the Emerald Envy tree. I embossed the top tree with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I layered the tree and sentiment on top of a piece of the DSP. The base layer of the card is Very Vanilla. I cut 2 of the word "peace" from Real Red cardstock and layered one on top of the other to create more dimension.
Supply list:
Do you remember the last time you received a card in the mail? In a sea of junk mail and bills, a card is a simple thing that really stands out to the person who receives it. Sending a card is a small gesture that shows just how much you care about that special someone in your life. World Card Making Day is today, October 1, celebrate by making and sending a handmade card to someone who could use a little recognition, love, or just a boost (which is anyone, really!) In celebration of World Card Making Day, from October 1 - 5, you can save up to 25% on card making essentials that can be used to share your love all year long!
Want to earn a free gift during the month of October? Simply place an online order between $50 & $149.99 (not including tax & shipping) and use the hostess code shown in the top of the right hand column of this page. Your gift will be mailed around the second week of November. If your order is over $150, don't use the hostess code...you get all of the hostess benefits at that point! If you will be using the hostess code, see below for instructions on how to do so.
Be sure and do not check "no contact" from demonstrator. If you do that, I will not be able to see your contact information to send your hostess gift.
As always, let me know if you have any questions about the project or the products used. Thanks for visiting my blog.
Artfully Yours,
Kim
