Happy Independence Day! What is it they say about "best laid plans"? For the last several years, I have attempted to think outside the box for my July 4th card. Not sure if it was my menopause brain or just being tired from my day job, but I couldn't come up with anything shiny new this year that was my kind of "different". With that said, I thought I would post some of my favorites from the last several years. A few even have video tutorials! Unless noted, all products are Stampin' Up!
The card below has been my most pinned on Pinterest. I literally woke up one morning thinking about the die cuts from Swirly Scribbles making a wavy flag. It tickles me every time I see someone CASE this card!
The one below was one I made after I came up with my tie-dye technique using coffee filters.
Click HERE to see the video for the above card. There is also a link below that video for my original tie-dye backgrounds. So great for summer!
I didn't use stamps for the card below. But...I LOVE how it turned out. This card was made using my "not your Mother's shaving cream technique". If you haven't seen my less messy way to do the shaving cream technique, hop on over to the video below.
Click HERE for my version of the shaving cream technique. This video will show you technique for the background, but isn't the actual card. I basically masked the navy & red areas to achieve this look using the technique in the video.

I have seen various versions of a patriotic card using the swirly bird dies but of all of them, yours is my favorite. Great job!
