I rather enjoy playing with lots of color and using interesting techniques when I make stamping projects. Unless noted, all products used in the samples below are Stampin' Up!
Here are a few samples:
Here are some of my new business cards using #inkswiping These are cards I ordered from Vistaprint with all of the black text info on the right. They were approved by Stampin' Up! demonstrator support. I have sprayed them with Krylon Matte sealer (lightly), so the ink won't run if they get wet. The black images were stamped using Archival Basic Black ink.
The supply list below contains products used for the card in the video, except for a few items not available for purchase until June 1 from the new annual catalog. The "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" stamp set and the large "Happy Birthday" thinlit shown in one of the samples above will be both available then.
Do you have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator? If not, I would love to be your source for these amazing products and hopefully give you a good dose of inspiration from time to time. This is not just a hobby for me, it is a passion! Click here or on the header above to find out more info on how you can earn free stamp sets just by shopping with me. Earn Frequent Buyer Rewards!
Please use the hostess code shown in the top right corner when ordering online, unless your order will total $150 before shipping & tax. At that point, you become your own hostess and get all the rewards!
As always, let me know if you have any questions about the project or the products used. Thanks for visiting my blog.
Artfully Yours,
Kim
Can't wait to try this! Thanks for sharing!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on the video. I'm glad I watched as I thought you would be swiping the ink pad across the paper. I was pleasantly surprised at a new technique for me!
ReplyDeleteLovely Kim, such beautiful ideas, Tfs

Love love your business cards ♥️♥️♥️
You've done a wonderful job with your instructional video Kim. . . Keep up the good work. Have been an admirer from afar of your artistic twist to the design of your beautiful cards. I also thought that you swiped the ink pad itself across the paper. . . so glad I watched your video to learn otherwise.
ReplyDeleteGreat video, great technique and I love the card, will have to try this, TFS
ReplyDeleteWow, Kim! Great video & I love that technique! Thanks for sharing the idea!
ReplyDeleteLove this!! I'll definitely be trying soon!!
ReplyDeleteKim thank you for experimenting to learn how to do this technique - these cards are beautiful and so artistic and unique. I have always loved watercoloring, but never felt confident to do it. Who needs the Work of Art stamp set when you can create your own designs. The sky is the limit on this, and I am definitely going to jump in on this one. Plus you are an excellent presenter and teacher! Thanks Kim.
ReplyDeleteJan...thank you so much! If you love the watercolor look, but are a bit shy about giving it a go, go to my youtube channel and watch the quick tutorial on #foolproofwatercolor It might be another technique for you to try!
DeleteI really enjoyed your video. You sounded like a pro...very confident and knowledgeable. I was surprised when I looked at your other videos to see that this was your first "talkie" 😉 You did an excellent job! I subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing your future videos. Thank you so much for sharing your talent!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like SO much fun! I have to try this when I get home tonight!
ReplyDeleteThis was an excellent tutorial. You must be a teacher, if not, you should be. Is it watercolor paper or plain whisper white? From a fellow Missourian
ReplyDeleteFailed to say what paper I used...Whisper White for this one. I'm sure you could get some interesting effects with watercolor paper, but I wanted this to have a smooth look.
