Global Design Project #GDP020: CASE the Designer

I'm playing along with the Global Design Project challenge this week, which is "CASE the Designer".

When you CASE the Designer, you might be inpsired by the colors, the pattern, or even the theme. It is really up to you what you would like to be inspired by. I chose the striped background and the centrally placed eye-candy as my inspiration. All products Stampin' Up!

I made my own striped background by applying strips of 1/2 by 4 inch Whisper White to Basic Black cardstock. I think it really pops. Don't you just love, LOVE the flower? It is one of the new die cuts available in the Occasions Catalog.

In case you are wondering if I had fallen off the face of the earth, ran away from home, etc...my life has just been busy with work and various projects. I have had the opportunity to play a very tiny role in a movie being shot in my hometown. The picture below is of me in character. Note the fake nose ring. I think it really completed my look! I believe life should be full of new adventures and this has certainly been interesting.

  2. Kim, you have nailed this challenge. I am in love with the bold crisp colours you have used against the equally bold striped background. I also like the white dot detail on the middle of the flower! Thanks for playing at Global Design Project with us.
