Bring on Bling(y) Ornaments!

I had a package of clear glass ornaments left over from last year, so I thought I would see what I could come up with for a quick handmade ornament. This would be perfect to give to the hostess of a holiday party this year, trim your tree with it or just to have one on hand for those last minute gifts. All products Stampin' Up! except for the glass ornament.

This next picture is a bit blurry and I didn't realize it until it was too late. (This entire project was a bit difficult to photograph.) For the first step, I applied Tear & Tape Adhesive to the bulb in a vertical pattern coming down from the top.

For the next step, I removed the tape covering and applied Silver Stampin' Glitter to the sticky tape. I held the ornament over a coffee filter and just poured the glitter on. You can use an old paint brush to make sure all of the sticky parts of the tape are covered. You can also use a small paint brush to brush away the extra glitter on the surface of the glass, but you will more than likely never get rid of all stray glitter!

I wanted more bling at this point, so I used glue dots to apply some loose silver sequins from our Silver Sequin Trim and topped those off with tiny rhinestones from Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I finished it off with more Silver Sequin Trim used for the hanger and a lavish bow made from Silver 5/8" Satin Ribbon.
