Last Day for Thoughtful Branches

I'm so sad to see this bundle go, but very excited (still) about the samples I was able to create using it. It has so many fantastic possibilities! Click here to get it before it is too late. The Thoughtful Branches bundle is only available until August 31. If you don't think you need both the stamp set and the dies, you can purchase each individually. See below for info on getting your shipping reimbursed until the end of today.

Thought you might like a trip down memory lane to see what I have created using this set. Clicking on the individual photo will take you to the original blog post. I'm posting my popular samples first. (based on Pinterest and the emails I've received) Unless otherwise noted, all images Stampin! Up!

Yes...it's a pumpkin! As far as I know, it is something I came up with because I hadn't seen any samples like it on Pinterest or the web. I love how it turned out and I LOVE seeing all of the CASES of this card.

My brain was really on overdrive when I came up with this little coach I have dubbed "Gypsy Wagon". Click on the photo to see the story behind it and info on all of the bits and pieces I used to create it.

I just had to jump on the pineapple craze I've been seeing everywhere. I think that die cut worked pretty well!

And then there is the "Bite Me" card. This was really meant to be a vampire of sorts, but in  retrospect, I should have made the face in a purple shade. Oh well, I love it any way. More info on how I put it together using bits and pieces on the original blog post.

This was a very simple card to put together. Other than the word stamp, there is only one other stamp image I used to create this card: the leaf canopy image in the stamp set. More details on blog post.

Just look at all of the possibilities!

I would appreciate it more than you know, if you ordered anything you need from my online store available by clicking on the link above. If you haven't signed up for my blog updates, please do so now. I will be sending out a blog update on September 1 with reminders about the new holiday catalog and a special offer.

Want to earn free shipping during the month of August?? Simply place an order online with me using the hostess code above right for at least $50 before tax & shipping. (This is my promotion, not a Stampin' Up! promotion) Just after September 1, I will either mail you check or refund the shipping cost to your paypal account. Your choice. Be sure and do not check "no contact" from demonstrator. If you do that, I will not be able to see your contact information to reimburse you.

Thoughtful Branches {artful inspiration}

Like everyone else, I love all things Pinterest. I find so much inspiration on that site! For today's card, I did a search for "tree art" on there. I knew I wanted to use the tree die cut from the Thoughtful Branches bundle. (Only available until August 31, unless supplies run out before then) This is what I found today. I'm linking the original site to make sure I give the artist proper credit.

When I am going to use a painting for my inspiration, I'm always keeping in mind the stamp images I own and how I might possibly recreate or at least suggest the brush strokes of the original painting. For this project, I knew I could use the leaf canopy stamp from this set.

I think it worked out well for a simple, yet striking card. The colorful portion of this card started out as Whisper White cardstock and measures 2.25 x 5.5 inches.

Supply List:

The Thoughtful Branches bundle is only available until August 31, but if they run out before that day gets here, it will be too late to purchase it.  I have done several different samples with this bundle. Click here to see them.

Thoughtful Branches & More {Bite Me}

Kids, kids, kids...my brain is on overdrive at the moment. There are days that I just wake up with crazy ways/ideas to use my different stamps, dies & punches I own. This is the case many times. However, there is another way I get my creative juices flowing. All products Stampin' Up!

I wanted to make a vampire face this morning. The first thing I did was to google vampire clip art. After browsing through the clip art, I started seeing pieces & parts of the face that I had dies for. I thought an Old Olive pumpkin-y look might be fun, so this card is the result of those ideas and my internet browsing.

The base of the pumpkin is from the Thoughtful Branches bundle, it is the leaf canopy. The stem is also from that die set. The eyes are from the new Christmas Pines bundle. It is a bow turned upside down! The fangs and nose are a trimmed down flag banner that is in the Balloon Framelits dies. I colored the hair with a Stampin' Up! Basic Black marker.

The Thoughtful Branches bundle is only available until August 31, but if they run out before that day gets here, it will be too late anyway. I have done several different samples with that set. Click here to see them.

The Christmas Pines bundle will be available September 1st from the new holiday catalog.

The Balloon Framelits dies are available right now.

Just remember that the Thoughtful Branches bundle is available until August 31 and you will be able to order the Christmas Pines bundle on September 1. The Balloon Framelits dies are available right now. I would appreciate it more than you know, if you ordered anything you need from my online store available by clicking on the link below. If you haven't signed up for my blog updates, please do so now. I will be sending a message just before September 1 with reminders about the new holiday catalog.

Spooky Pinecone (Yes, that's what I said)

A pinecone and a spider walk in to a bar...Seriously, look how cool this spider is! I have been having an absolute blast using the  new Stampin' Up! Christmas Pines bundle (available September 1 from the new holiday catalog) to make all kinds of projects. I came up with this idea early this morning out of necessity. I realized I didn't really own any good Halloween stamps and needed a Halloween card. Unless otherwise noted, all products Stampin' Up!

Check out the stamps and dies from this bundle priced at only $54.75 (plus tax & shipping):

Yes, the body of the spider really is made from the large & small pinecone. I stamped the pinecone image with Versamark ink and embossed with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder. The head of the spider was selectively edited using the small pinecone die to make the shape work better.

The legs of the spider were made using two each of the bows that come with this set. The antennae was made using a branch of one of the sprig die cuts. The base layer was stamped with speckles from Gorgeous Grunge and Touches of Textures using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and was embossed using the Woodland Embossing folder. The word was stamped using the Labeler Alphabet stamp set. The cardstock colors are Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black and Whisper White. The messy threads are a piece of cheesecloth and a few pieces of the Black Metallic Thread available from Stampin' Up!

In case you haven't seen my other projects using this set for non-holiday purposes, click on the image to take you to the original blog post.

Just remember that you will be able to order this bundle on September 1. I would appreciate it more than you know, if you ordered it from my online store available by clicking on the link below. If you haven't signed up for my blog updates, please do so now. Christmas Pines {Deer Me?}

Oh, how I love a stamp/die bundle with so many possibilities.  This idea was another one I woke up with this morning. My mind works in mysterious ways...just ask my husband. All products Stampin' Up!

The deer head is one of the pine cone dies and the antlers are some type of sprig die in the die set that compliments the Christmas Pines stamp set. This bundle will be available to order on September 1st. The deer portion was cut from Dazzling Diamonds paper. The photo doesn't show how glimmer-y it actually is. The Basic Black background was embossed with the ever popular Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Rudolph nose is one of the Brights Enamel Shapes. A simple, but striking card!

Another Sneak Peek: Christmas Pines {#GDP049}

I'm playing along with the Global Design Project one more time this week. It is a color challenge. I'm posting another sneak peek of the new Christmas Pines stamp set from the holiday catalog. All products Stampin' Up!

When I saw the new Christmas Pines stamp set, (with matching dies) I saw all kinds of possibilities other than just for the holidays for this set that will be available from the new Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog on September 1. Click here to see my post from a couple of days ago, also a GDP submission.

As soon as I saw this set, I knew I wanted to make some tiny pineapples out of the pinecones and pine needles. The matching dies really came in handy for this project.

I paired the new stamps with some of my most used stamps from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and the sentiment is from the set called Lovely Amazing You.

When I was putting this card together, the colors behind the pineapple were a little too bold and were over shadowing the pineapple-y goodness. To remedy the situation, I simply punched a piece of Vellum cardstock using the Decorative Label punch and layered it behind the tiny ananas comosus. (scientific name for pineapple...isn't it cool?) I use this trick often to soften an area. I distressed a small strip of the Gold Sequin Trim with my heat tool and pulled a few sequins off for this project. I like that the sequins aren't completely flat and now have kind of a wonky shape to them.

Sneak Peek: Christmas Pines {#GDP049}

I'm playing along with the Global Design Project this week. It is a color challenge. I also thought I would use this opportunity to post a sneak peek of the new Christmas Pines stamp set from the holiday catalog. All products Stampin' Up!

If you follow my blog at all, you will know I love using stamps in unexpected ways. When I saw the new Christmas Pines stamp set, (with matching dies) I saw all kinds of possibilities other than just for the holidays.

 Do you see as many uses for these images as I do?

I've paired the simple pine branch image with a splattering of Basic Black Archival ink using one of my favorite stamps from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and a few of the pine branch die cuts from the matching Pretty Pines Thinlits dies. The words were stamped using images from the set called Labeler Alphabet. I love how I can stamp ANY word I want using that set.

The Labeler Alphabet is available right now. The Christmas Pines stamps and Pretty Pines Thinlits (available as a bundle), will be available in the new holiday catalog September 1.
